Bishop Woodrow Jarrett

Bishop Woody Jarrett is the Lead Pastor of Victory Drive Church in Columbus, Georgia. As a seasoned and visionary leader, his ministry experience encompasses various roles, including Administrative Pastor, Executive Pastor, Senior Pastor, District Overseer, and a board member at both the State and International levels.

 

Bishop Jarrett, a distinguished veteran, served in the United States Army for twenty-four years, culminating in his retirement in 2008 with the rank of Command Sergeant Major. His unwavering dedication to both ministry and military service has profoundly influenced his leadership, characterized by integrity, discipline, and compassion.

 

In 2024, Bishop Jarrett was re-elected for a third term to the South Georgia State Council and was appointed President of the Southeast Regional Fellowship (SERF). He presently holds the position of Director of African Descent Ministries for South Georgia and is a member of the Church of God Intercultural Board, reflecting his enduring commitment to diversity, inclusion, and unity within the church.

 

Bishop Jarrett possesses a Master of Divinity in Theological Studies from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary and a Master of Science in Health Services, specializing in Community Health, from Independence University. He is presently engaged in doctoral studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.

 

Bishop Jarrett met his spouse, the former Jennifer Dixon, in Brooklyn, New York. They are proud parents to four children and grandparents to two grandchildren.

Bishop Verdell Griffin, Jr.

Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr., was reared in St. Mary’s, Georgia, and is the only son of Bishop Verdell R. Griffin, Sr., and First Lady Shirley Griffin. He is married to a devoted woman of God, Evangelist Dianne Rawls-Griffin, and they reside in Kingsland, Georgia. He is the proud father of Whitney Nicole Griffin, and Rengiald Herring. He has seven amazing grandchildren.

Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr., is a graduate of Savannah State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1981. He received his Master of Arts in Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in May 2004 in Lithonia, GA. In addition, he received his Master of Divinity Degree from Luther Rice Seminary on May 18, 2012.

Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr., accepted the call of God into ministry in October of 1998.  He served as an Associate Minister at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Rex, Georgia from 1999-2003. He served as the Senior Pastor of Lake City Spirit Life Church of God, Lake City, Georgia, where he and his wife, Evangelist Dianne Rawls-Griffin birthed in 2004 with a growing membership of 70-80 members. Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr. also pastored Bethel Church of God, Macon, Georgia from 2006-2012. Currently, he is the Senior Pastor of Wheeler Street Church of God, St. Marys, GA.

Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr. has served on the South Georgia Church of God Ministerial Development Board for 6 years. Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr also served as the coordinator for the Black Ministries, South Georgia Church of God for 6 years. In addition, Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr hosted and instructed a School of Ministry at the Wheeler Street Church of God.  Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr currently serves on the Executive Board of SERF as the Vice President.

 

In addition, Pastor Verdell R. Griffin Jr, served on the Police Review Board for 7 years in the City of Kingsland, Ga. Pastor Verdell R. Griffin, Jr ministry has allowed him to host and travel to Jerusalem in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Pastor Verdell R Griffin, Jr, enjoys preaching, teaching, reading, studying, traveling and spending time with his family. He is a man of God who truly understands that his mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ

Bishop W. D. Hill Jr.

Bishop W. D. Hill Jr., a native of West Point, MS graduated with honors from West Point High School in 1971. He furthered his education through various technical training programs with the Bellsouth/AT&T Corporation, which he retired from in 2011 after 38 years of service.  He has also studied at Mississippi Valley State and the School of Theology at Lee University.

Bishop Hill acknowledged his call to preach in 1989 and served as an associate pastor at Latter Rain Church of God (now Tabernacle of Faith and Deliverance) for seven years and was ordained in 1996.  During that same year, he became senior pastor of Latter Rain, a capacity in which he served for nine years before being appointed to Daniels Temple Church of God in Calhoun City, MS where he has presently served for 16 years.   

Bishop Hill has preached nationally in many traditional and non-traditional settings such as state camp meetings, various conferences, revivals, prisons, and onboard luxury cruise ships.  He loves the Lord and the people of God and is devoted to teaching them about “Living the Word.”

Bishop Hill has been married to Evangelist Wanda Pratt Hill for more than 43 years. Together they have four daughters and 10 grandchildren. Bishop Hill and his wife Wanda are cofounders of Chosen Generation Ministries a non-profit through which they have impacted many lives. They have also served as licensed foster parents for the state of Mississippi.

In addition to his role as senior pastor of the Daniels Temple Church of God, he also serves as Board Chairman of the Black Ministries Board in Mississippi. Bishop Hill is a member of the State Licensure Board, the State Evangelism Board and he is a former member of the State Council and MIP board. He serves as state director of SERF for Mississippi and has formerly served as secretary/treasurer and vice president.
